Fire crews battle blazes in Sutherland

undreds of firefighters have spent days tackling a series of hill fires across the remote north west of Scotland.
A combination of dry weather and strong winds helped spark the blazes which took hold at Torridon, Glenshiel, Loch Ailort and Inverkirkaig.
Fire crews have had to work on steep rugged terrain, with helicopters being brought in to water-bomb the most inaccessible areas.
