Visit-Ullapool was created by Steven Gourlay to try and provide visitors with helpful information about Ullapool and try and encourage tourists to visit Ullapool. This is NOT an offical guide to Ullapool mearly information i have put together.

Little bit about myself:

My name is Steven Gourlay I have now lived in Ullapool for nearly three years, moving away from Glasgow to try and enjoy a better standard of living from the busy hectic cities. My partner Nanette was born in Ullapool and she has always had the urge to move back to Ullapool. We are now in the process if building a new house in the village which we are both very excited about.

I am a keen ametur photographer and part of my 9-5 job involves managing and supporting a wildlife photography forum. I try my best to get out as much as possible with the camera but finding the time is the battle. I am in no way near professional level but I enjoy taking photos of the beautiful landscapes that Ullapool offers and the wildlife. I am also a keen motorcyclist and I am a regular member of a few bike forums and due to my location i get asked a lot of biker related questions about the Ullapool area, ie petrol is it 24-7 (why its not here but it is in Scourie, is another question), campsite or B&B, bike repairs, what’s the best routes etc etc. I’m trying to put all of these questions in the highland motorcycle section of the website to try and give people as much information as they need.

The website is an ongoing project which will take a lot of time and effort but am sure it will help attract visitors to Ullapool.
